The Library Society of Ningde was established in May 1998, with the Supervisor of the Society of Social Sciences of Ningde and the Registration and Administration Authority of the Society of Social Sciences of Ningde.The association elects the director through the general meeting of members, the executive director by the council, the president, vice president and secretary general by the standing council, and sets up the secretariat, the secretary general is responsible for the daily office affairs, and nominates the deputy secretary general to assist in the specific work.There are 11 student groups under the administration of the university libraries and the county (city) public libraries.According to the relevant provisions of the articles of association, a complete working system and financial management system of the association have been formulated, as well as the rights and obligations of the members.Under the guidance of the superior departments, the society has continuously deepened its reform and played an active role as a bridge to promote the development of library.In July 2014, the Society held the fifth member representative meeting in Ningde Library, and elected the fifth director and leading body. Mr. Li Tie, the director of Pingnan County Library, was elected as the president. By 2014, the Society has 11 member units and 80 individual members.
